One of the most unusual projects has been working with my sister-in-law on new artwork for her home in Islington. Julia has a flat in London and is already the proud owner of a large painting of mine in her lounge, but really wanted another piece. As is often the case, she lacked wall space. We settled on trying a new approach and filling her open plan kitchen/dining room with two pieces that reflected the family's love of winter holidays in Norway, but this time on a blind.

She is delighted, as am I. The effect is stunning and transforms an empty window into a statement piece when the blind is down. The house is being decorated in Farrow & Ball colours so I closely followed this colour pallette when designing the blinds and they blend and sit beautifully in the space. If they ever move they can simply take the blinds down and have them framed for a wall. An all round win-win! Send me a message if you think it’s something I could do for you and you can see the process in my stories on Instagram.
